The purpose of this blog is not to prove to anyone that the Book of Mormon is true, or that the LDS Church is God’s official church. That said, one of the objectives of this blog has become a quest to prove that nobody else can prove that the Book of Mormon is not true, or that the LDS Church is not what we Mormons claim it to be.

In the discussions on this blog I’ve frequently been asked what proof I have that the Book of Mormon is true. The only proof I have is that God told me so. There’s plenty of other supporting evidence, but all evidence is circumstantial. There is no silver bullet or smoking gun that proves the Book of Mormon to be true other than God communicating that knowledge directly to an individual. If you are an honest truth-seeker and want to know for yourself if the book is true or not, and if the Church is true or not, then read the book, talk to the missionaries, and find out for yourself. If you are trying to prove that the Book of Mormon is not true, then you’ve got plenty of ammunition, but again, there is no silver bullet. But if you don’t want to take my word for it, then feel free to ask all the questions you want. I enjoy the education I’m receiving as I am forced to find answers to questions I’ve never heard, or never took the time to answer previously.

My hope is that if you are looking for the truth with an open heart and mind but perhaps you’ve heard things about the LDS Church, Joseph Smith, or the Book of Mormon that you find confusing that you may find something here that is helpful. If you are a critic, then my hope is that you may find something here that softens your heart and helps you open your mind to the point where you become an open-minded truth-seeker. I’m convinced that if we are all honest with ourselves, open-minded, and seeking after truth, we’ll end up in the right place.
